To facilitate transparent communication, I will serve as an ambassador between the schools and the community to effectively communicate concerns, goals, and priorities of the community.
I will support policies and procedures that enhance transparent communication with parents, guardians, and community members. I will also support strategies that help “close the loop” in communication so that when a parent raises a concern, there is appropriate follow up to communicate action steps that were taken to resolve the matter.
With my leadership experience managing funds for school districts and government-sponsored programs, I will partner with school administration and board members to evaluate the district’s funding and expenses to ensure excellence, efficiency, and longevity.
High-quality education is an investment, and the majority of Oakwood educators have advanced degrees and have been teaching for 10+ years. Their experience and expertise are key contributors to the academic excellence of the district. To promote accountability, I will communicate budget needs and opportunities, funding, and fiscal health with community stakeholders.
I will support a sense of inclusion through policies and procedures, evidence-based practices, and data-driven frameworks to ensure all learners have the access and opportunity needed to thrive.
